See Tangle Movement Arts' "LOOP" this weekend in Philly!

Walk through the doors of Philadelphia Soundstages, and find yourself in a surreal world of hanging geometric designs, webs of fabric, trapezes, and cascading ropes. A world where life is experienced right side up, upside down, and sideways.

This is where Tangle Movement Arts finds its home, and where you can experience the aerial dance company’s latest work, “LOOP,” a contribution to the 2014 Philadelphia FringeFest.

While the word “trapeze” might bring to mind the traveling circus, this is no circus act. LOOP goes far beyond aerial tricks and vertical entertainment; it tells a story and evokes emotion, exploring decision, indecision, wandering, and belonging. You’ll find yourself smiling, engaging and empathizing with the dancers as they journey through the choreography.

LOOP premieres tonight (Thursday, September 18, 2014) at 8 PM at Philadelphia Soundstages, a fantastic performance space in Northern Liberties (1600 N. 5th St). LOOP continues through the weekend, offering showtimes on Friday (8 PM) and Saturday (3 PM and 8 PM).
