That’s how the Philadelphia City Paper describes Koresh’s performance “ev o lu tion.” First debuting five years ago, the show returns with three fresh new dancers from the Koresh Dance Company. Krista Montrone, Robert Tyler, and Kevan Sullivan, all having joined Koresh Dance Company within the last 4 years, will bring a new face to “e vo lu tion.”

Ronen Koresh, Artistic Director of Koresh, spoke about the upcoming performance; “The need for human expression is as universal as the need for replenishing ourselves through procreation. Expression is fundamental to the reasons for our existence, and to understand that expression in its purest form is to understand ourselves… Language allows us to be liars” and "ev o lu tion" explores the commonalities that bind us together as humans, beneath the lies we tell. The show has been described as gritty and rhythmic, with “one high point after another” (Philadelphia Inquirer). According to EDGE Philadelphia, we should expect a performance “packed with athleticism.”

A phenomenal show is not all we have to look forward to - Koresh is spoiling Philly with an array of additional events: 6pm Opening Night Reception with hors d’œuvres and the signature Koresh cocktail, a post-show Artists’ Talk-back over Drinks on Friday evening, and a 7pm Closing Night Happy Hour. Even more exciting, the show will begin with a performance by the Koresh Youth Ensemble, dancers ages 13 to 18.

A word of advice - tickets to Koresh shows sell out quickly! So, if you’re thinking about buying tickets, stop thinking and go for it. Koresh does not disappoint.
